rm2 Drive bridge · last updated 7 November 2026
rm2 Drive bridge (“the app”) is a personal tool that runs on its owner's own Raspberry Pi and keeps one Google Drive folder in sync with the owner's reMarkable 2 tablet. It is used only by its owner. See the app home page for what it does.
Data the app accesses
- Google Drive files (scope
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive): the app lists, downloads, creates, updates, moves and trashes files inside the folder My Drive / reMarkable. To convert Office files to PDF it makes a temporary Google Docs copy and deletes it right away. - Account email address: read once to confirm which account is connected.
How the data is used
Only to copy files between that Drive folder and the owner's tablet, and to save the owner's notes back to Drive. The app does not use Google user data for advertising, does not sell it, does not use it to train AI or machine-learning models, and does not let any person read it.
Where the data is stored
The OAuth token and a small database that links Drive files to tablet documents are stored only on the owner's Raspberry Pi. Documents pass through that device on their way between Drive and the tablet. Nothing is sent to any other server or third party.
Sharing
Google user data is not shared with or transferred to anyone.
Limited Use
rm2 Drive bridge's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Removing access and data
Access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Deleting the app's data folder on the Raspberry Pi removes the stored token and database.
